Obedience Clubs
Obedience is highly recommended for every dog. Some clubs also offer training in Agility, Tracking and/or Endurance in addition to Obedience.

Obedience trains a dog to behave in public and interact appropriately with other people and animals. It challenges the dog mentally, which can help prevent the side effects of boredom (including barking, digging and other destructive behaviour). Obedience training also helps create a positive relationship between you and your dog while establishing that you are in charge.

Training and socialising a puppy from a young age gives it the confidence to deal with new situations throughout its life.

Obedience is a basic necessity for a dog, as important as shelter and companionship.

Find out more about the Dog Obedience and the titles your dog can earn by competing in this sport. Any dog can compete in Obedience Trials, including Associate Register (non-pedigreed) dogs.
