Prefix Accreditation Program (Open Book Exam)

The Prefix Accreditation Program is now available upon application. This program is by correspondence in the form of an open book exam and is intended to raise the level of knowledge of member breeders.

As from 1 December 2006 a breeders prefix will not be issued to a new member unless that member has completed the prefix

accreditation program.

Where a person has previously held an ANKC prefix and joins or rejoins DOGS Victoria as a member that person will not be

required to complete the prefix accreditation program.

Where a person has previously attended or completed a breeder course run by DOGS Victoria that person will not be required

to complete the prefix accreditation program.

Where a person has been granted a prefix from April 2004 that person will be required to complete the prefix accreditation program.

No litter registrations will be processed until the prefix accreditation exam has been completed.

To arrange for the prefix accreditation program open book exam to be sent call Jennifer Govan on (03) 9788 2503 or e-mail  jgovan@dogsvictoria.org.au quoting your membership number. Payment can be made by providing credit details by phone - or an application form can be sent for completion and return with payment. Forms are also available on our website.

The open book exam is required to be returned to DOGS Victoria within 30 days of receipt for correcting and processing to be concluded.

Results will be advised within 4-6 weeks, and a certificate issued to members who pass the exam.
