Please note Regulations Part 6 – The Register & Registration has been updated in accordance with 5.15 of the February 2023 Special Board meeting minutes.
The amendment to the Regulations relates to a new clause, numbered 8.17.2, covering Juvenile Laryngeal Paralysis Polyneuropathy (JLPP) in Rottweilers which reads:-
8.17.2 Effective from 01/01/23 ALL Rottweilers be tested for JUVENILE LARYNGEAL PARALYSIS POLYNEUROPATHY (JLPP) prior to being mated and only Clear to Clear or Clear to Carrier be permitted. The exception to this is Frozen Semen whereby a sample can be taken from left over semen when a bitch is inseminated and then sent off for testing; in these cases the bitch must be a Clear on the chance the sire may be a Carrier. Certificate to be provided by the Laboratory carrying out testing eg: Laboklin, OFA, Orivet. Samples must be taken by a Vet or a Certified Collector.
Please note Dogs Australia have updated their Regulations Part 5 – Conformation Show. Amendments have been made to the following sections:
Item 5.11 – amendment to existing Section 9 relating to the rules for the conduct of FCI/CACIB Shows
Item 5.12 – addition of New Section 9A relating to the rules for the conduct of FCI – Asia, Africa and Oceania Section (AAOS) A2O Shows
Item 5.16 – removal of Clause 2.4.2 which read:
“2.4.2 Catalogues are not to be made available prior to one hour before the advertised start time of a conformation show. Royal shows and cluster shows catalogues may be released one hour prior to the first day or first show.”
These amendments are effective from 1 July 2023. The Regulations can be found here
