General Breed Description
As expected from his history, the Norwegian Elkhound is a powerful dog with great stamina and endurance, able to work and live in cold harsh climates. He is an active and agile dog who is friendly and playful, but independent and very intelligent. He works well with people and gets on well with other dogs, so makes a very good companion and family dog.
