Beware of Fake Emails from Dogs Online

18-06-2025

Dear Members,

We have been made aware of fake emails being sent that falsely claims to be from Dogz Online and we would like to remind everyone to stay vigilant against fake emails that impersonate legitimate companies in an attempt to harvest your personal information.

These emails are fraudulent and should not be trusted. Below is an example of the fake email that can be seen, remember to always check the sent address as this is often a good indicator of the true source of the email.

If you receive a suspicious email, we recommend deleting it immediately. If you’re unsure whether an email is legitimate, feel free to contact the Dogz Online at helpdesk@dogzonline.com.au directly to confirm.

Please be advised that the traffic lights located at the entrance to KCC Park are now operational and the intersection is open.

HomeSafeID’s Animal Registry Service has now closed.

20-02-2025

From 7 February 2025, HomeSafeID is no longer licensed under the Domestic Animals Act 1994 to keep and maintain an animal (microchip) registry service for Victorian pet owners.

Animal Welfare Victoria (AWV) has received all Victorian records for cats, dogs and horses from HomeSafeID in accordance with the Domestic Animals Regulations 2015. This is to ensure this data is not lost and will be provided to an alternative animal registry service licensed in Victoria for continuity of service.

AWV has developed the below to assist with queries you may receive from your members or alternatively you may refer your members to our website Domestic Animal (microchip ) registries.

• If you are in Victoria and are unsure which database your pet's microchip is currently registered with, you can visit this website: https://petaddress.com.au.
• If you identify your pet’s microchip being registered with HomeSafeID, and your pet is not a cat, dog or horse, you are advised to start the process to register the microchip with one of the other Victorian licensed registries listed below:
     • Central Animal Records
     • Australian Animal Registry
     • Global Microchip Animal Registry
     • Petsafe Register
• There may be a cost associated with this process which is determined by the registry.
• AWV is in the process of selecting a currently approved animal registry service to receive the Victorian data for cats, dogs and horses. Once this data is received by the selected animal registry service, owners will be contacted by the registry with further information in the coming weeks including with details on how to update your records.
• For species other than cats, dogs or horses, you may wish to register any new and existing microchips with another approved registry (above).
• If your pet’s microchip is registered with one of the other licensed registries there is no further action required from you, other than ensuring your contact details are up to date with the microchip registry your pet is listed with in the event they ever go missing.
• It is important to keep your pet’s microchip details up to date in the event they ever go missing so they can be reunited with you as soon as possible.

An Important Message from KCC Park Facilities Committee – Area 6 Drainage Project

10-02-2025

We are pleased to confirm major drainage works project has been approved by Dogs Victoria Finance & Management Committee for outdoor area 6 (behind the pavilion and rooms 3 & 4) The works will commence from Wednesday 12 February and continue for up to four to eight weeks depending on the weather.  These works will allow Area 6 to be usable grounds all year around to facilitate more dog sport trials, events and training for the membership.

During this time area 6 will be closed to all members and clubs for any type of training or event for up to four to eight weeks as there will be heavy machinery onsite installing the new drainage and time will be required to fill the site back in and regrow the grass. We ask that everyone observe the signage around the grounds and stay off the closed areas.

Training groups and bookings for this area will be contacted directly to organise an alternate area for use over this time. We thank those in advance who will be affected for their patience during this time, as the long-term benefits to this project will allow KCC Park to be utilised to facilitate even more dog sports and training opportunities for the membership.

Area 2 will not be affected by the project and will remain open and available during this time.

Updates on the project will be communicated to the membership. Should your committee or club have any questions or wish to discuss the project please email events@dogsvictoria.org.au and it will be passed on to the KCC Park Facilities Committee.
